BALINBIN TOWNHOUSE
Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines
In collaboration with CTcon Construction (Builder)
—
Located north of Manila, the townhouse was designed and built to serve as a vacation home for a small family-of-four in their home province, used for about a month of a year.
A double-height living room serves as the central gathering space immediately connected to a modern kitchen and bar in Nero Marquina stone (black marble), water-falling to the similarly-finished floor. The open space between the living, dining/bar and kitchen provides a casual space when the family hosts gatherings with family and friends. A guest bedroom and common-use bathroom is tucked behind the stairs.
On the second floor are two additional bedrooms, one of which is the master suite with sweeping views of the landscape, oriented towards the front facade of the building. The master suite is directly connected to a bathroom suite with his-and-her sinks, a spa and an enclosed shower. It is also shared with the second bedroom by use of a privatized door.
